Wait, I thought the way this worked is that you pay for the right for you to listen to the music. How does transferring from one storage medium to another make a difference if it's still just you using it? Unless of course, they're just a bunch of greedy bastards looking for more ways to rip us off...........

Who the hell knows what the RIAA's justifications are now? Their logic is not our Earth-Logic. I plan to continue ripping my CDs guilt-free and listening to them on my iPod, because I see no moral or ethical issues whatsoever in there. And, with no moral or ethical issues, why should there be legal ones? Other than the crackheads who want to charge us each time we listen to a given song.

And yes, I adore that icon - I saw someone using it (uncredited), and quite shamelessly stole it.
