Dear RIAA:

Bite my shiny metal ass.

That is all.

Wait, I thought the way this worked is that you pay for the right for you to listen to the music. How does transferring from one storage medium to another make a difference if it's still just you using it? Unless of course, they're just a bunch of greedy bastards looking for more ways to rip us off...........

Excellent icon, by the way ^__^

Who the hell knows what the RIAA's justifications are now? Their logic is not our Earth-Logic. I plan to continue ripping my CDs guilt-free and listening to them on my iPod, because I see no moral or ethical issues whatsoever in there. And, with no moral or ethical issues, why should there be legal ones? Other than the crackheads who want to charge us each time we listen to a given song.

And yes, I adore that icon - I saw someone using it (uncredited), and quite shamelessly stole it.

Shadow-senpai uses it, who in turn stole it from [livejournal.com profile] misstrishmelb.

1) If that's true, then what do they think qualifies as a non-infringing use? I'd like to see some examples of what's A-OK, assuming any exist.

B) That avatar is very funny.

What they think is okay? I'd imagine they'd really like something where you automatically pay them 95 cents whenever you're within earshot of something that is playing music for more than half a second.

They just dont get it do they?
