The IMDB Bottom 100 Movies of All Times is always good for a laugh. I can say with some pride that the only ones of those I've seen were via MST3K. Might I recommend Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders to get you in the proper mood for the season (the monkey!)? And, of course, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

But that goes without saying.

I notice, to my sorrow, that Starship Troopers isn't on that list. I am not a particularly discerning moviegoer. A movie has to be pretty bad for me consider my time wasted. Not only did this movie waste my time, it was so bad it made me wish that that particular slice of time had never existed at all. What made it worse was I really loved Heinlein's original novel, which bore as much resemblance to this movie as a fine, medium-rare slice of herb-encrusted Rib Roast does to a shred of rotting wildebeest haunch that even the hyenas kick dust upon.

Ahem. Yeah... so... right. Bad movie. Bad, bad movie.

I loved Bobo dressed as the monkey in the movie. "Will you just get in the bag!?" Have you picked up volume 8 yet? Hobgoblins, Monster A-Go-Go, The Dead Talk Back and Phantom Planet. All exquisitely awful.

I've seen six of 'em.

Street Fighter (I own the DVD - Raul Julia is fantastic in that film), Police Academy 5, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Rollerball, Hercules In New York, and Police Academy: Mission To Moscow.
