I went back up to one of the ones in my area with my old roommate yesterday. I never really thought my costume was all that impressive. (Brent and BG could verify that, if you don't believe me...) But apparently, it looked good enough to make this little kid who had lost his mother think I worked there. That was pretty cool. (Ya know, that it looked good, not that he lost his mother. :op) Must be the new hat I got to go with it, or something.
Anyway, in case you're wondering, we brought him to the gate, and they got in contact with his mother over the radio. The funny thing is, they were trying to transmit that we found him at the same time as someone was trying to put out the call from the mother looking for him, and the two messages got crossed. >.>
Earlier that day, we helped out this one woman who had passed out from heat exhaustion, too. I need to be careful, or else people will start to think I'm a nice guy, or something. I'd better go find someone to punch in the face...
Seriously, though, that does bring up a good point... Those dresses, plus being out in the sun all day, plus dehydration is NOT a good combination. Dealing with the port-a-potties is a necessary evil.

Speaketh the man who has never work three dozen yards of fabric about his waist. ^_^ Growing up in a desert gives me a bit of an advantage - I'm pretty good at judging how much water I need when, and I was drinking - just not quite enough as I should have been.
I want pictures of your costume! And hats are great - remind me to never again get a costume that's supposed to be worn without one. Long hair in the wind, on a hot day, looks really, really not-pretty by the end of the day...
