Drug-fuzzed hazes are not fun. Especially when combined with an entire weekend of FamilyCrap (tm). Yay! I don't think I'll dwell on that.
On a positive note, we discovered that there's a marina, a gas station, and a restaurant four miles from our house. Not the swankiest of places, but it's better than a whole lot of nothing.
And, apparently, we're buying half a cow. To be more precise, we're paying half the costs to have a cow "processed", and we're going to be getting about half the meat from it. About 450-500 pounds worth. I think I need to buy a deep freezer...Also, I'm getting several bales of wool from Marshall (he's been throwing the stuff away), so I can start experimenting with spinning and dyeing. It's not alpaca wool, but it's something.
All the shows I like get cancelled - Carnivale has apparently been cancelled at the end of its second season. Carnivale was so good that I suppose it was inevitable - the battle between good and evil set against the backdrop of a depression-era carnival isn't exactly mainstream fare, I suppose. Bitter. Makes me feel better about not subscribing to HBO just to get the second season, though.
I thought I was feeling more coherent than this today. I guess it wore off.
