(no subject)

This makes me happy in obscene and inappropriate ways. *SMACK* I'm a terrible person, I know, but...

Also, Bruce Schneier is my god. The man even thinks about strange things like hacking the Pope.

[EDIT] Also making me happy in slightly more appropriate ways is the fact that I just won a signed copy of Area 88. I have no real idea what the show is about (airplanes, and spies and things? I found information about an OVA, but I don't think this is it), and no idea when it's going to be released, but I'm getting a free one. Signed by Andy "Wiggly" McAvin, no less! Proof positive that my luck in these games is much higher when I'm in a pot for one of my favorite male VAs. Yay! Free things are always happy.

Fu-Master's Adventures with Manga

I am completely and totally not making this up. Fu-Master was in Waldenbooks yesterday with his youngest daughter. She's about seven years old. She wanted to buy some Digimon manga, so Fu-Master diligently searched the shelves for an author named 'Manga.' Some kind bookseller finally took pity on him, and told him that manga wasn't an author, it was a type of book, and took him to the (exceedingly large, about eight bookcases worth) manga section.

They finally find the Digimon books, when his daughter notes the "Buy 3 for 2" signs. Fu-Master capitulates, then has a heart-attack when he looks at the price. Conniving Daughter (I approve) finally weakens his resistance enough to get him to buy her three books.

Fu-Master also makes comments about how he can't pronounce any of the names. Dani heroically refrains from comment.

Apparently, after they got home, Fu-Master admonished his daughter to not bend any of the covers, so he can go back and return them this weekend.

Never a dull moment.
