I spent the weekend cleaning and relaxing, which was fun. Quite a bit of anime was watching, including one show that pissed me off. In a big way. The show was Spiral, a mystery show currently being released by FUNi. I picked up the first volume and box with some DE store credit (I needed to add something to the order to qualify for a coupon), and settled in to watch it Saturday night.
It was infuriating.
First five episodes: "What are the Blade Children? What is the secret of the Blade Children? What is the curse of the Blade Children? Is Ayumu really the hope of the Blade Children? Why do people want to kill the Blade Children? What happened to Ayumu's brother?"
Me: AURGHHHH!!!! You know, I'd love to know the same freaking thing!!! You freaking wrote the show, why don't you tell me!?! STOP ASKING THE QUESTIONS IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO ANSWER THEM!!
I think it's most infuriating because this comes so close to being a really enjoyable show. Just...Aurgh!
Wolf's Rain, Master Keaton, and Perfect Blue made it better. Also Banner of the Stars II, which thus far, seven episodes of ten in, is my favorite of the three.
Bonus points to anyone who can relate the title of this post to the subject.

The best part of Spiral was the opening animation.
