That's just the data in one cell! In a spreadsheet with a couple of hundred rows. And three dozen columns. And Boss Man wants me to tell him how many have *insert random code from post* on demand. Should I note that these codes are in no particular order, so just because A comes before B for this record doesn't mean that will be true for every record?
