The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

So, Smarty McSmarty-Pants, aka LJ Braintrust. I need help. *pause for jeers*

I have a problem that's twofold and complicated. I would like to join the rest of the web in being able to watch videos. Some work, some don't. A Flash problem is the obvious diagnosis. But when I go to update Flash, I get this error: "We are unable to locate a Web player that matches your platform and browser."

Windows XP. Firefox 3.0.2 currently, but older versions in past months. Ongoing problem. Really frustrating. I want my Daily Show fix, dammit!

Problem 2, Netflix. A new problem, because they had run out of ways to annoy me, apparently. Previously, I could watch things online using Watch Now if I launched Explorer. Several months ago, Netflix decided that IE on Windows XP was an unsupported platform. "Your system is currently incompatible for PC viewing." Their tech support has been spectacularly unhelpful.

Help?

[EDIT] Boo. Paid account sale. Mine's up for renewal soon. But I can't decide if it's worth it. I like the picture storage, but...meh. I dunno.
