The kettlebell workout of PAIN might just be the death of me. I hatehatehatehatehate arm exercises - my fibro is terrible in my shoulders, and exercise makes it worse, and muscle soreness on top of that is one of the worst sensations I have ever had to deal with. But, there is compelling evidence that building up my arm and shoulder muscles again might help - and I don't care how "total body" the freaking workout is, if you're swinging, or lifting a giant cannon ball every time, it's working your freaking arms. Gah.
The "Turkish Get Up" is my new nemesis. Yea, proper form, what? I simply look and laugh at the "Alternating Renegade Row." Literally - I saw the picture and burst out laughing. Picture this - you have two cannon balls with handles. You are holding them while in the push-up position. Now, you're supposed to lift them up to your shoulders alternately. BWAHAHAHAHA!!! I have but one kettlebell, so I don't even have to attempt it. Erik's attempt was...amusing, and he has *considerably* more arm strength than I do. (Of course, I'm using an 18 pound kettlebell, and his are 30-something, so I suppose that makes a difference) I'd do a shoulder press over that any day, and there are few things in this world that I hate more than shoulder presses.
Bed time soon, I think. I am a sleepy girl, and I haven't gotten nearly enough done this week.
