So, I read the first volume of Go Go Heaven, and have no idea what I think about the story. Which indicates a sort of blandness that doesn't make an impression, which means I probably won't pick up the second volume. Of course, the story might not have made an impression on me because the print quality and overall art reproduction were so bad. Bleh. There was one early panel that was supposed to have an solid black background - it looked like a white to black gradient. That is what you might call "suck."

Watching the tactics (corrected for the Sapphy's sake ^_^) anime, finally. Pretty entertaining overall, although the dub is...strange. It's an ADV dub, but done on the cheap (probably after Manga took over the license) - the major characters all seem to take turn voicing episode characters. While they're talented enough folks that it probably isn't noticable to most people, hearing Chris Patton (sexy badass voice) talking to Chris Patton (Peacemaker country accent) is still kind of funny.

Rumbling Hearts/Kiminozu was just as good as I remembered. Heart Takayuki. And Mitsuki. And the dub, which is beyond awesome, especially in this volume. Colleen Clinkenbeard dominated the first half as Mitsuki, but Carrie Savage's Haruka owned the second half.

My Giant Pile O'Manga (20 or so books) that arrived on Monday is gone, demolished. I need more. Actually, I need to finish reading the book that I started in January and then promptly lost. I found it again yesterday, and am having a bit of trouble picking up the narrative again. But I think the story's just gone to a strange place, which is part of the problem. It's following the main character, who isn't really the main character right now, she's actually somebody else, but not. In Atlantis. Or something like that, anyway.

Still not sleeping right. I woke up at 3AM today and couldn't get back to sleep to save my life. Finally stopped pretending at around 5AM. I just need to get through today and tomorrow, then meeting the new boss on Friday. Then, I get a Weekend O'Fun with NinjaX, who thinks I will somehow prevent her from spending money at NCRF. HA! We will have fun. Also frozen treats.

Twin Spica leads to Planetes. In other news, flaming space debris is a fun phrase to say. None of the airplanes I've ever been on were anywhere near flaming space debris. Which is a damn shame, I say. A damn shame!

Also, I can't seem to stop quoting The Prisoner at people. The urge to make myself a Number (Fourty) Two pin is strong.

No, not my Macbook, but a hell of a lot cheaper, which is more important at this point in time. It met my screen size, HDD, memory, processor, and drive requirements. And I didn't have to pay any money for Vista, even if I was just going to slick it off the drive, which is also important. Although I'm probably going to reformat and set up a separate partition for running Linux, since I now have an actual reason to (not just an excuse).

And hey, being able to pay cash now instead of having to wait for my tax return (which should arrive around the time I start my new job) is just an added bonus. I wasn't planning on buying one today, or even this week, but apparently I popped on right when Dell added new inventory. Yay!
