Catherine Asaro writes some pretty damn compelling books.
[EDIT] I finally, finally remembered "Mimsy Were the Borogoves." It's been driving me nuts since I heard of the movie - I knew I had read the story, I just...couldn't remember it. Now, I'm wondering if they can possibly keep any of the impact of the original story in a movie that's aimed at primarily at kids.
