Review: Moon and Sandals #1

I actually like this one more now than I did when I wrote the review - I keep going back and rereading it. The bittersweet love, then loss, then new love cycle that seems to be a major theme of the story just works so, so well.

I'm turning into a Fumi Yoshinaga fangirl. How the hell did that happen?

Making my top ten list of Things That Suck for today are mushy apples. Bleh! Curse you, Honeycrisp apples, for ruining me me for all other kinds, despite your limited seasonal availability!

Which reminds me that I need to call up Erik's aunt to see if she was able to get any Honeycrisp trees for me...

Ok, so let me get this straight. Monsanto, arguably the most evil corporation to ever stain the earth with its foul, Lovecraftian presence, apparently deciding that they're not evil enough already, decides to release genetically modified corn that they know causes liver and kidney damage in rats. My mind, she is well and truly boggled.

As an aside, Ninja X needs to come and visit me this weekend, while my house is actually clean. It doesn't happen often...

[EDIT] Here's a question - do any of you have trouble scrolling any of my entries with my new layout? Sadly, LJ doesn't provide a setting for saving old layouts that I could find, which I didn't realize until the Stripey Layout of Awesome was blown away, and I haven't had the energy to recreate it yet.
