Anyway, yesterday was funny. It was extremely windy, and I was noticing that a couple of our skinny dead trees were swaying waaaay more than they should be. Especially the one by the driveway. "We're going to need to cut that tree down soon, or it's going to fall," I said to myself. Less than an hour later, I look out the window - and there's no tree. >.< Apparently the gale force winds (slight - but only slight - exaggeration) combined with the ice melt + frozen ground that turned my entire yard into bottomless swamp were too much for it to handle. We lost a couple of other trees, too, but nothing important. And it didn't even fall across the driveway!
It's cold again today - fingers aren't quite working the way they should. Bleh!
