[Poll #873284]

I give life in general a big "meh" at the moment. Also, Sonic is insane at any time after 9AM - Erik and I tried to go there last week, and there were over a hundred cars waiting. I guess I'm not alone in the "being driven insane by commercials for things I want but cannot have!!" But...I won't wait for 2+ hours. I could drive to Va Beach and get some in that time. ^_^

Dear CNet: Die now, thanks.

Ok - #1-3, 5, 8, and possibly 6 and 9 I can buy. But Lisa Simpson? Paris Hilton!?! No. Just...no.

Magic pills eliminate the need for sleep!

And here I am, suffering from a sleep disorder that alternates between horrid insomnia and equally horrid narcolepsy-like symptoms. Somehow, I can't see this as a good idea. You want to know what the long-term effects of sleep deprivation (or lack of REM sleep) does to a person? Just look at me. Or ask Erik - he knows very well what the Evil Zombi Queen is like. I'm pretty certain that just about all of the health problems I've had tie into this, too.

When I was still in high school, we did a production of Peter Pan. Our director went into the hospital halfway through the run, leaving a bunch of students in charge of the entire production. The guy in charge of designing the sets was far more interested in playing with power tools (should I mention that I was dating him at the time?), and so I ended up picking up the slack for...a whole bunch of people, and "production manager." The day before our first performance we still didn't have a pirate ship.

That week, I was awake for 96 hours straight. By the end, I was hallucinating badly. To say the least. I don't remember most of that, although there are some pictures that I will never, ever show anybody. (YOUR JUDGEMENT IS SUSPECT!) Sleep deprivation is bad, m'kay? Taking drugs to stave off the need for sleep just strikes me as a horribly bad idea.

(Not to mention what this could do to the work week. *shudder*)
