[Poll #868991]
I've mentioned that Fenrir is disturbingly obsessed with the tennis ball. Almost autistic. ADD-hyperfocus. It's really very strange to watch. Anyway, he's been feeling neglected lately (Erik and I just haven't had any spare energy - working late sucks), and taking it out on my socks, and my shoes, and Boo, and anything else he can chew on. So I decided to be nice yesterday, and throw the tennis ball for him. He was...disturbingly excited by the whole situation. Was halfway across the house before I threw it. Slid four feet when he overshot it...on carpet (I measured the claw marks in my carpet...). When I was at the front door and tossed (just a toss, mind) it over his head, he lifted himself vertical on his back legs and body slammed himself into the front door in his haste to turn around and get the tennis ball!!
At some point during all this, I notice something strange on the carpet. Since I had just swept the carpets, there shouldn't have been anything. Turns out it was blood. Errr...I wasn't sure if Gracie had caught the mouse already, or if Fen had managed to rip one of his claws off in his excitement. Then I saw more blood. Yea, it was Fen. Completely ripped the nail off, was bleeding all over the place, and...completely didn't care, because there was a tennis ball!!
He disturbs me. Really.
Still no 100% (or even 75%) functional phone line.
