So, belated weekend. We were supposed to drive down to Va Beach on Friday night. Since it was incredibly nasty outside, and there was the possibility that the tunnel would be shut down because of flooding, we opted to drive down on Saturday instead.

The power went out, and so did our clocks, so we got up later than we wanted to Saturday. This caused Drama, despite the fact that we really didn't have much of a schedule. Still, we got there with little difficulty, inflicted the demons on all and sundry, including a tormented Michael, visited with the family, and made dinner reservations. Then my parents...vanished.

Erik entertained Michael with baboon jumps and other such goofiness, while Rachel and I chatted. Time passed, and dinner reservations loomed. Still no parents. Pregnant Sister started to threaten to devour furniture, cars, sundry items, etc if dinner didn't happen Soonest. Finally contacted parents, made arrangements to meet them there. They arrived...eventually.

Entertainment ensued. Restaurant featured beverages in buddha statues, with straw protruding out of buddha's belly. This proves to be Irresistable. Once we were seated, more fun started. We were at one end of the room, facing our grill and three others. Michael was Entranced by the fire on the two farthest tables. Once it got to us - terrified. He tried diving sideways on multiple occasions, which was Hysterical. Pregnant Sister ate everything, including approximately 95% of my food. Mother and Erik ate the remaining 5% after fighting over mushrooms and leftover shrimp.

More entertainment after dinner. Erik expressed a desire for cheesecake, so we (where "we" = me, Erik, and Rachel - the rest headed home to wait for us) headed over to the Cheesecake Factory. When asked what he wanted, Erik gave me the "duh" look and said "cheesecake. Just plain cheesecake." This lasted approximately 15 seconds, at which point he noted the eighteen billion different kinds of cheesecake, and entered into Too Many Choices overload. Brain melted all over floor. I was stuck agonizing about what to get the rest of the party, who had all assured me "oh, anything is fine." Which translates into "I have something specific in mind, you should be able to read my mind."

We finally escaped unscathed, with a bag containing approximately 12.73 billion calories. Upon returning to the house, cheesecake proceeded to not be eaten. "Oh, wait for us, we just want to finish packing!" Riiiigh. 11PM approached, as did profound unconsciousness.

Parents left for Alaskan Cruise on Sunday morning. Sister drove them, came back, fell asleep, woke up again, got us up, and forced us to go to Sunday School under protest. Breakfast was eaten, culminating in Yet Another Deathmatch over my remaining food. Husband Vs Pregnant Sister needs to be Pay-per-View. Needs to be, so I can afford to continue to feed both. Keith showed up and joined us at breakfast. "Hey!" he says. "I have these concert tickets for tonight I was given for volunteering at the marathon. It's some band I've never heard, of, but maybe you guys want to go." Erik and I are convinced it will be something boring. Instead, it ends up being 3 Doors Down, which is rather more interesting than we were anticipating.

We return home, and then more Drama ensued, ending in Erik getting moody all over the place. Everyone napped, and woke up with much less of the moodiness. Yay! The concert was fun, the weather was beautiful, we got to walk a couple of miles on top of that, so...yay!

Then we came home. I'd write more, but I can't really focus on anything right now. Yay?

Dear Netflix:

Why do you continue to taunt me? This clearly shows that it is a 3-disc series. You are obviously aware of the fact that there is one more disc remaining. So why, then, are only two discs listed? See also: Loki Ragnarok, Macross.
