As it turns out, the middle of nowhere still has ways to freak me the hell out, even after two years of living here (and six years of Fredericksburg, which was the next closest thing to the middle of nowhere at that point).
I just got a phone call - not all that unusual. On my cell - somewhat more unusual, as I don't get many calls there to begin with, and only very rarely when I'm working. It was a local number, and one I didn't recognize - this is where things get strange.
It was my mail carrier, letting me know that I have another package (I have two waiting at the post office), and was I going to be home to recieve it, or should she just leave it there for me to pick up when I pick up the others? Which was extremely thoughtful, but...

Freaky Country-Fu...this woman is like a ninja with the tripping me out. Asking if she can leave packages in my car if I'm not home, calling me on my cell phone...*twitch* Just...too strange. (But I think it's the package from
