It appears that we're getting a puppy today. A German Shepherd puppy. I'm hoping male and short haired, because another dark-colored shedding dog is going to be a bit more than I can stand.
Hopefully, he'll be smarter than Sara, but since I know bricks smarter than Sara that's fairly likely. Erik hasn't decided on a name yet, but he liked my suggestion of Fenrir. Specter was another possibility, and something in Chinese I can't remember.
This...should be interesting. Especially for the Hellkitten, who hates everybody and everything but me, Erik, and Sara. Erik, she goes out of her way to annoy. Sara, she torments mercilessly - watching a tiny cat bully a 75 pound dog is just funny. She lets me do absolutely anything at all to her with the blind conviction that I won't actually do anything to hurt her. It's very cute. I managed to completely and totally freak her out yesterday, though - she was crouched down like she was going to try to slip under the closet door. There was a box behind her. I...kicked the box. She sprang at least three feet straight up and managed to land on top of the box as it slid to where she had been. Funniest thing ever, and completely unexpected.
This narcoleptic phase is lasting longer than usual, and I'm not liking it much.
