The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

This makes me snicker. A lot.

Soooo - family coming on Thursday afternoon. Not staying for the weekend, but leaving Friday at noon. Which means...I'm leaving work early on Thursday, and not going in Friday. Which means I need to make up as many hours today through Wednesday as possible. And the house still isn't clean. It's no longer mortifying, but it's not to where I'd actually want people in it still. But steam cleaners are love, just know that.

That Man attempted to create DRAMA!! but pretty much succeeded only in getting people pissed off at him. It's a gift, it really is. Still, I'm looking forward to hanging out with the other black sheep of the family - I'm in good company.

I need entertainment. Entertain me!

For all you retail-working-types out there...have you been good little boys and girls, checking every single one of your customers against the Bad Guy List? The Man has further insight.

I don't think I need to state it, but I will anyway - this deeply offends my fallen-libertarian soul.

In other news, I need to stop buying fabric I have no plans for. Really. Even Really, Really Neat fabric. Except maybe that *mumblemumblemumble* fabric I'm bidding on, because there are a few things in this world I have no resistance against, and that's one of them.

This amuses the hell out of me. And I like it better than squinting at things wondering if something is a zero or a capital 'O'.

In other kitten-related news, Gracie O'Malley the Pyrate Cat, AKA "Hellkitten," has been sentenced to Painful Stabbity (or water-spraying, anyway) Death after yet another run-in with the authorities. The cause of this dispute is reported to be an iPod cable, complete with kitten-sized tooth marks. Miss O'Malley is being held without bail.

(In other pirate-related news, I just bought a pirate hat. Yay!)

[EDIT] And in other hat-related news, I need an Elizabethan tall hat. And I could keep up this stream-of-consciousness all day, but I need to clean!!!, and I'd like to be able to finish watching Melody of Oblivion tonight, too. Because my head isn't explody enough. Thus far...this disc is serving that cause nicely. Like whoa. As in "did they really just do that? Did they actually animate that? Is this actually more sexually suggestive with the innuendo than Utena? Moo!"

As I'm cleaning (whoa progress!), it occurs to me that I have had, for several months now, a chainsaw in my living room. Let me repeat that. A chainsaw in my living room. And yet, it never struck me as strange.

It's times like this that make me suspect I live a life rather different from the norm. Just...slightly.
