This morning was marked by a profound inability to function, so severe that I was forced to take drastic measures and stop for coffee. It wasn't until I was about an hour away from my house that I realized the true extent of the Horror my day was about to become.

I had no chapstick. This? That's totally me. I cannot function without a tube of Burt's Bees lip balm. I buy in bulk, and put it on constantly throughout the day. If I don't have a tube in my pocket, I find myself unable to function, obsessing over the dry and cracked state of my lips. I wake up in the middle of the night with the profound need to apply lip balm.

There was, of course, only one sensible option. I had to turn that car right back around and go home to get more speed posthaste to the closest convenience store and buy one of the crappy brands with the meat tenderizer.

It works, a little. At least, it should get me through the work day. Then, once I get back home, I can have more of my beloved minty-fresh beeswax goodness.

[EDIT] DARWIN POWAH!

I've updated my links list, although I'm pretty sure I've still forgotten something. I so want that pirate map corset...

Off to Michaels today to pick up some polymer clay, to see if I can craft a credible set of antlers to wear. I figure that anything taller than four inches and wider than about two inches is going to be impossible to keep on my head. I have a real antler to base them off of, a fairly small four-pointer. Hopefully...they'll turn out purty. And balanced. And will stay on my head. Otherwise...it's back to the drawing board. I can't find *anyone* selling anything like this, so if they turn out well I may make a mold and sell them through COA.

My forehead has gone all bubbly and wierd. Ick. Hopefully it'll all peel off pretty quickly and go back to looking normal.
