Perspective is a funny thing. For example, on my route to work there are a bunch of giant tanks, apparently used by Coors for brewing. They're in the process of moving these tanks from Point A to Point B - a task requiring, among other things, crews to lift road signs and traffic lights along the route.
These tanks are huge. Intellectually, I know this. But the real size of them never really hit me until today, when I passed by and saw a pickup (a big one, looked like an F-350) parked next to one.
Imagine a little Matchbox truck next to a new roll of paper towels. That's the scale we're talking about here.
I've been driving past these things every day for years, and the sheer size of them never hit me until now. How many things do we miss in life because we don't have the proper perspective?
