Yes, yes - for the record, I went to the doctor's office on my way home from work yesterday. I'm not totally hopeless. And he told me pretty much what I already knew - it's a nasty strain of the flu, it's been going around the base like mad, taking new waves of people as they get off leave (the fact that I couldn't find ginger ale in any of the gas stations near the base should have tipped me off), and it takes 7-10 days to run its course. Which means I have anywhere from 2-5 days left. Get lots of sleep, keep your fluids up, stick with the orange juice and crackers, etc.

He gave me drugs, but I can't drive if I take them, which limits them to when I get home from work only. Yesterday was proof positive that trying to work those last few hours before driving home undrugged was a bad idea, so today...I'm not. Dayquil is good for six hours, so I work six hours, drive home, take Super Drugs, then sleep. I think I can survive this - especially if I get room babysitting duty today, which pretty much involved being a warm, semi-aware body in a room downstairs. That, I can handle.

FedEx is now totally and completely unable to locate my package. They have no idea where it is. There's a sick, fired FedEx driver out in Partlow somewhere drinking my tea. *sigh*

So...I've asked to have it reshipped, by anything other than FedEx. Because, really - absurd much?

P1: He wore red, like a rose!
P2: He was wearing green!
P3: Like a lime?
P2: Like...an avacado!

Dialogue paraphrased, from the Greatest Comedy Movie Ever Not Starring Peter Sellers. Five points to anyone who gets the reference, ten points if you know it without looking it up. ^_^
