machine_dove at 08:02am on 10/01/2006I thought I was feeling better today - not much, but a little. So I head off for work. Yea, bad idea. The last eight miles, after I started hallucinating, really sucked. I think I'm going to stick around long enough for the Super!Dayquil to wear off, make my way home, and drug up again.
At least now I have different walls to stare at while I drool.
I feel so bad for Erik, though - he made a marvelous dinner last night, pasta in a vodka sauce with seasoned ground beef and italian sausage, and I managed to eat all of four bites of it. He packed some up for me to have as lunch today, but I don't think that's going to happen. I have a liter of water, and a liter of orange juice, and that's probably going to be it.
The fact that I've come down with the flu no fewer than five times this season has gone well beyond the realm of the absurd. It started with the Patient Zero Death Flu in September, where I worked the Oktoberfest that I don't remember. I remember 'Quil. I remember beer. I don't remember if I drank any of said beer, but I made a hell of a lot of money that day in tips. I'm probably lucky that I couldn't find any pictoral evidence of my doings that day. Really lucky.
Boss Man is apparently on some sort of diet kick. I offered to give him what I had, since I've been able to keep down all of three real meals in the past ten days, but he didn't seem to like that idea.
Tea update: FedEx assures both me and Adagio that my tea will absolutely, positively be delivered some time early this week. In the meantime, however, the tracking shows that my package is doing absolutely nothing. Somehow...I don't believe them. But I did get a refund on the shipping, so I'm less concerned. Plus, it's hard to get concerned about much of anything, even the fact that keeping my car going straight is much harder than it looks.
