We're five days into 2006, and I've managed to read four five books thus far. And I'm a good way through two more. Yay! My reading list doesn't seem to be getting any shorter, though. Maybe it's time for another game to help me pick out what books I'm going to read. ^_^;;

And still, I lack tea. Also breakfast. Mostly because food has been a really bad idea in recent days, but apparently would have been OK this morning, as my innards are telling me with some enthusiasm. I have no more food stashed at my desk, and I refuse to do vending machine food, so I must wait until lunch. In...three hours. Maybe two and a half hours, if I can convince R that we should go early.

I need a decent book icon. I'm shocked that I don't have one.

[ADDENDUM] Contrast this with the following UPS scenario. Erik orders books. They ship yesterday from Amazon via UPS - out of PA, which is situated geographically close to NJ, and is pretty much the same distance, if not a bit farther, by the regular highway routes. I drive home from work today, see the UPS guy about twenty miles from my house, and wave. About an hour and a half later, he shows up at my door, drops off Erik's two packages, comments on how he saw me waving and remembered that he had a package for me, and wishes me a good night.

UPS >>>> Fedex. That's all there is to it. Heck, even USPS is better - I even got a Christmas card from my mail lady! (She signed it that way, too).

I just want a little freaking tea here. Is that too much to ask? [/addict jonesin' for a fix]
