*blink* There really
is a book for everything! The proof?
When Ladies Go A-Thieving: Middle Class Shoplifters in the Victorian Department Store Also, I must make a point to try to track down a copy of
this book, because it looks awesome.
I'm really in a history sort of mood, but I don't have many history sorts of books in the house, other than Giant Dusty Tomes like
Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire or my ancient cultures books from Folio Society.
This or something like it is what I'm really in the mood for - I may be forced to go into town tomorrow and *shudder* pay Borders prices. No me gusta!
This also looks both bizzare and fascinating.
Anyone have any suggestions for interesting history sorts of books to read? I'm partial to women's studies, the Elizabethan and Victorian eras, anything Italy, especially including the Medici family, seafarers, crimes and mysteries, and things that relate in some way to art history.
Also, Fedex is on my hit list going in to the new year. They were supposed to deliver a package today, with my tea. They delivered a package today...but it wasn't my tea. Apparently, the driver failed to realize that he had two boxes on his truck for me (understandable, since the one that was delivered today was supposed to be here three weeks ago...and Amazon had already refunded my husband for it). How am I supposed to survive without vanilla and apricot teas!?!
Oh, and Happy New Year, folks. ^_^
