I can apparently still send out $5 gift certificates to Adagio Tea to all and sundry, if anyone's interested - I just need an email address, and if you're leery about posting it (and you should be!), you can drop an email to [my journal name] @livejournal.com. $5 is just about enough to order one sample and have it shipped...but really, who could buy just one?
Erik and I have caught the plague from his younger brother, yay. Excuse me while I go curl up around a nice hot cup of tea for the rest of the evening...
Actually, at some point tomorrow, I'll be curling up around a couple dozen cups of new teas - I had to make an emergency order of cranberry tea before they took it off the site post-holiday, and I was out of vanilla and apricot tea as well. So, three large tins, and a half a dozen or so samples - the Valentine's tea (black tea with strawberry and chocolate? Sounds interesting!) and a couple randomly assorted fruit herbals, because I really dig the one fruit herbal I picked up in my last order, the blood orange. Mmmm, tangy! I didn't order the green cocomint, which I'm now regretting - I'm hearing good things about it. I may have to make a larger order with my next paycheck - I have fourty or so teas still on my wishlist that I want to pick up samples for at some point. And I'm sure I'll want large tins of some of those herbals, like the wild strawberry or berry blues. And I really should order more oriental spice, and I find myself quite shockingly short in oolong and white teas.
The display teas seem really, really neat, too, although I'd feel compelled to use prettier cups. I don't have very pretty tea cups, something I'll have to correct at some point. Mostly, I use giant oversized mugs for giant oversized cups of tea. Rooibos tea is very, very messy to make, which I hold Jeremy completely responsible for.
This remains the coolest thing ever, my most-used household appliance-thingee, and even just got a new, improved, easier-to-clean model. It rocks so much.
