Today...Maison Ikkoku box 1 at 50% off. Everyone should buy it at that price. I mean, it's Maison Ikkoku! I'm waiting for the last day to place my order, but Shawne already has me for the Ghost in the Shell: SAC bundle.

Oh, and today rocks. The ten and eleven hour class days earlier this week sucked, but today? Three hours of flying paper airplanes, I get to go home early, and get paid for a full eight hour day of work. Rock! Sometimes, working for the gubbmint isn't half bad. Erik and I are going to go see Narnia.

Um, Merry freaking Christmas to me!

Some of you may remember this - last August, I ordered the LE leather cover that Wani came out with for the limited edition version of Range Murata's futurhythm artbook, which is quite possibly the prize of my collection. The cover...never came. I emailed the person I bought it from repeatedly, nothing. Then, finally, last February, I get a reply - not just one reply, but a flood of something like thirty different emails, of varying degrees of hysteria and rudeness. The overriding theme of these was that I was a dirty, nasty, horrible person for wondering where the hell my cover was, and how dare I behave so! I replied, mostly calmly.

Then...nothing. Until sometime in April, when another flood of email arrived, again, stating in more vocal terms that I was a horrible, nasty, and evil person. I replied, things eventually calmed down a little bit, I "verified my address" a couple of dozen times, politely asked if it had been shipped yet, and then...nothing.

So, I wrote the whole thing off as a loss. The mail just came - the special happy package delivery man, not the regular mail. He had a package from Japan, shipped out Thursday via EMS, from a company named AniChara. I could not, for the life of me figure out who the hell this was or what the hell I was getting from Japan (this time).

It's the freaking futurhythm leather cover. Almost a year and a half later, months after my last communication with Val, it arrives. Finally.

They still get negative points for communication and timely shipping, but they get some serious bonus points for actually getting this to me long after I had given up on actually getting it.

Now...if anyone knows where I can order the new LE Murata artbook...I need it. Like crack. Except way more.

Yea, so, went to see Narnia, after a hard day of testing paper airplanes at work. Overall, I loved it - pretty decent adaptation. However....what the hell was the costume designer on, and how do I avoid it?
