The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

Oh yea - that little bit of calf between where my socks end and my sweat pants begin is cold! But I look very festive, at least. ^_^

Aieee...in this world, there are people who couldn't organize a car accident. And that's all I'm going to say about that, unless there's booze and congenial company involved.

But - I had fun, hung out with some of the crazy sorts, caught up on things with Melissa (who should be in touch with you soon about that thing we talked about, and you know who you are if you're reading this ^_^), wandered about in the not-quite-so-cold as it was when I left my house, passed out flyers, wandered into an antique shop of hugeness where I drooled over some antique Japanese step-chests, and generally had a good time.

We also invaded a Civil War battle, which was kind of fun. The urge to run out in the middle of said battle and do something wildly inappropriate was...high. I tried to convince Bagel to do it instead, but he resisted. Barely. I was hoping for a Sharks/Jets style rumble between competing groups of period reenactors, but we would have been badly outnumbered.

Oh, and the line "hey look, people in funny clothes!" or variants to people in period garb does not get old when said while wearing even more outrageous period clothes. Also, a certain member of our party who shall remain nameless was trying to figure out how long ago the Civil War was, and arrived at a final date of fourty years ago. *twitch* I ever so kindly reminded her to add back in that borrowed century...after asking when the Rebs were going to bomb Hiroshima. I amuse myself so much sometimes. Which is good, because I doubt I amuse anyone else.

I am still pictureless, because I lacked room for my camera. Eventually, eventually....
