The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

Apparently, tomorrow, there is no "inside." It's freaking cold outside, and I'm supposed to be out there, in garb, from 8AM to 5PM, with only the cast meeting at 10 to be inside in the warm. And the bloomers? Not even done yet, because I have no fabric scissors, and the scissors I do have are...not up to the task. To say the least.

So...I'm scrambling to find Warm Things that I can wear under my garb that won't show too badly. My normal sweat pants are Right Out, because they show. Luckily, Erik has a pair I should be able to pull up over my calves, so that part is taken care of. I found an old long-sleeved undershirt that I never wear, and ripped out the neck with a knife, to wear under my chemise. Now I'm debating about my gloves - do I cut off the tips of the fingers and hope for the best, or leave them as-is? The Pirate Cat has pretty well decimated them, so I'll probably end up cutting the tips off, but...not yet. I've had these gloves forever. And the matching scarf. And I have my shawl, but it's still going to be chilly. Had I been more foresighted, I would have borrowed Stacey's wool cape, but I wasn't. Ah well.

Should be a fun day. I'm trying to make Erik stay home again by promising to bring home dinner from Sammy T's, one of the local restaurants that caters to vegitarians and vegans. They do amazing things.

Ha! And Erik's big objection to me buying garb was that I'd only wear it a couple times a year. More like a couple times a month, out of season, and a couple times a week in season!

Maybe, if I'm lucky, Melissa will have my cloak finished and will bring it with her....
