The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

AURGH! I found another CD that my charming college roommates obsconded with...the first disc of my Rent soundtrack. Just....the first disc. I have the second. This somehow makes the whole situation that much more annoying.

Erik, meanwhile, has found a way to compensate for the lack of adrenaline rushes when he's not working - provoking Gracie O'Malley the Pirate Cat into leaping, claws extended, in the general direction of his face. Since she's known to, without provocation, attack anything from the dog to my slippers to the mail, this isn't all that difficult. When the cat isn't handy, he instead tries driving the Mini Way Too Fast down our gravel road, causing the tires to lose contact with the road and fishtailing to occur. Which, as you might imagine, causes marital strife. Martial strife, even. There are things that Just Aren't Done, and messing with the Mini is one of them.

Wow...it's 2AM, I'm convinced I have to work tomorrow, I've been up since 6AM, and I'm not even remotely tired Neat! I've been spending much of the day rediscovering how remarkably fun (where "fun" = "something other than fun") downloading MP3s is on a dial-up connection. Sigh...

Opinions wanted: I'm going to get three of the chokers below (I think three...maybe two, but certainly no more than three), but I can't decide which I like best. So...I'd like opinions. Which ones do you like best?

Y'know, there are times when it's really nice to be on the same page with someone who doesn't have their head completely up their ass. Things...are looking up. Now there's just one mostly-useless and one completely-useless-but-possibly-marginalized to go.

Wow - life without HappiDroogs(tm) just isn't worth living some times. Well...any time, really. And I can't get more until Monday night, which puts me at five nights without. *twitch* I'm already getting physically sick from the fibromyalgia not-sleep, and I have two nights to go. *twitch* Not cool.

What is cool is a new band we found on the drive home from Thanksgiving #2 - a local band, based out of Charlottesville (Charlottesville rocks - why don't we live there again?), called In Tenebris. They've got a sound that I just adore, all smooth, gorgeous soprano vocals and string instruments against an industrial background. Good stuff - we bought their EP, so hopefully the rest of their stuff is as good as the song we heard on the radio.

If we lived in Charlottesville, we could have checked out their show tonight, and probably picked up the EP without the shipping charge, but...life's harsh like that. So close, yet so far...

Does anyone feel like assisting me in bending their brains towards the solution to a rather difficult sort of problem? The catch is that there are prizes involved, and I want them. ^_^

Um...sleep now, I think. Or, at least, something like a pale, unsatisfying shadow of sleep...
