The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

I woke up early today - shortly after 6AM, probably because it's Friday, even though I don't have to work because of the holiday. The morning was beautiful, crisp and cold, and everything was covered with frost. I decided to go for a walk - I wanted to last night, but it was too dark. When it gets dark out here, it gets dark!

It was cold enough that I regretted not bringing a hat, but I walked at least three miles (with my doggy escorts showing up during the last half). On my way home the sun had started to melt the frost where it actually touched, so my yard was striped frosted and unfrosted. I should have brought my camera - I seem to be saying that a lot lately.

Once I got home I fed the dog (who was starving to death, just ask her!) and took a hot shower to warm up. I had a hot cup of tea waiting when I got out, which was lovely.

I need more mornings like this.

Exhibit A and Exhibit B

The R2 release of the Fullmetal Alchemist movie is going to have English subs. How evil is that? But...now there's no good excuse for fansubs of it. *evil grin* Especially since FUNi has the license locked - does anyone seriously think they don't have it? I...will be respecting my strained budget and waiting for the FUNi release. I think watching it with Erik is going to be more fun, anyway - and then I won't have to bite my tongue to keep from saying anything when he says things like "The Fuhrer is Ed and Al's dad!"
