I flung myself out the front door this morning, as is my wont, and almost propelled myself across the yard. One slippery-step incident a year is enough, I think.

It was beautiful, though - cold and clear. The view of the stars is amazing from my house - no light pollution for dozens of miles, aside from a few house lights. I may pick up some slow film and set up the tripod out by the barn one night to see what kind of shots I can get. My poor 35mm camera is feeling neglected - with cause.

And WOO! My copy of Kindaichi 12, ordered god knows how long ago (almost a year, I think!) is shipping out soon. There was much rejoicing. My manga preorders are pretty much under control - but the other list, of titles I'll pick up when I have both the money and the opportunity, is spiraling out of control. All ten solicited volumes of Hana Kimi went on it today. And that list is just for manga/graphic novels published by primarily manga companies, anime DVDs and anime CDs. The regular books, CDs and DVDs are on my massive Amazon wishlist. *twitch* I need to win the lottery. Then I would have the money for everything I want, and the time to enjoy it all.

The Bush administration argues that with national security at stake, terrorist suspects are not entitled to the constitutional protections given ordinary criminal suspects.

Dear Bush Administration:

This may come as a suprise, but you don't have the power, the authority, or the right to decide when the constitution does or does not apply. Really - you can look it up yourself.

Someone needs to hurry up and buy this dress so I don't drool over it anymore. Or think about how fabulous it would look with another underskirt/sleeve set in dark green. Or a royal blue...I haven't emailed her to find out how much it costs, since that would lead me places I can't convince my husband to let me go. ^_^;;

I like this one, this one, this one, and this one even more.

The Toys R Us Buy 2 get 1 free PS2/XBox/Gamecube game sale? Awesome - Erik and I left with six games, and we could have happily bought that many again. Now I need to figure out how he has the switchbox on the big screen TV in the greatroom set up so I can play while he's not home...

Games purchased:
-Destroy All Humans
-Bard's Tale
-We Love Katamari
-Paper Mario: 1000 Year Door
-Spiderman somethingorother
-X-Men somethingorother, two player. I'd better be able to play Gambit.

'Tis awesome. Probably means I won't be getting any glass this weekend, but I'll survive, I suppose.

Because, you know, I don't have enough to occupy my time with a hojillion DVDs, a bunch of games already that I haven't finished, and over a hundred unread books. Boredom isn't a concern for me right now...

Oh, and my husband is damn hot in his glasses. Moreso than usual, even. He's getting random women (usually, ones he's trying to arrest, or the significant others of people he's trying to arrest) hitting on him hard again, so it's not just me. ^_^
