The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

Episode 12 of Planetes has to be one of the best single episodes of anime ever created. It takes one hell of a skilled writer to make terrorist bombings laugh-until-you-cry funny and realistically believable at the same time.

I need to figure out what garb I'm going to wear this coming weekend and get it washed and ironed. Also, need to make bloomers a priority (making them, that is, after I get the sewing machine tuned up. I think those are within my skills, just need to find a pattern). I think I'll plan on wearing sweat pants under my skirts for now, but that won't do for next season.

Remarkably, I've purchased a grand total of one thing for myself this season - the feather fan, which will save my sanity this coming VARF season. I bought two things for Erik (don't ask me how that happened...), another belt, and a pouch. See? I can behave. Sometimes. I'll behave this weekend, too, although I may buy myself another piece at the glassblower. Because we love him. And he makes lovely ruby-red mugs this time of year.

Still can't get ahold of Melissa. She's as hard to track down as Kei!
