I'm trying to figure out how long I should let Erik sleep for. He got home at 2AM, but I don't think he actually went to bed until around 4:30. I don't want to get out too late, because I don't want to be driving all damn day. It's supposed to be cold and possibly rainy at MDRF all day, which should be OK. Erik can't complain about being too hot in his nifty shirt this way. I'm evil like that.

And Melissa will be coming to PARF the last weekend of October, so I'll get to see her there. Should be fun - I guess she really liked my trick to get cheaper tickets. I should probably let Stacey know that we're going to be there (not that she wouldn't have been going to the faire that weekend, but since they live pretty much the same way we do, it's nice to give them some advance warning so they can start cleaning).

Oh, and gmail? Kindly stop taking my cursor. You're in a tab in the background, it's not polite. Thanks.

Yay faire! I'm going to wear my swirly-twirly new skirt today, yay.

Faire was great, great fun today. Erik was in a better mood after I finally managed to get him in the car - which took some doing. He's worse than a kid sometimes. We went to amusing shows (he really, really liked Hack & Slash, which should have occurred to me sooner), ate chocolate-covered cheesecake on a stick, visited with Mel and Allison, and generally were amused.

We bought Erik's pouch from Holy Cow - then went back a second time, because I was pondering one for myself. This turned out to be a Bad Idea, because the faire in general was very wet and muddy - that's what happens when it rains all day the day before. Therefore, the steps out of Holy Cow were very...wet and muddy. I took the shortcut down, we'll say. And have the most spectacular bruise to show for it in an area that isn't normally available to be displayed, as well as an assortment on my legs and hands. Erik assures me that I caught myself very quickly (hours and hours and hours and hours of Hapkido falling drills are good for something, even years later). Let it be henceforth known that backfalls are Extremely Difficult while wearing billions of yards of fabric around one's waist.

Ha ha! I don't have to work tomorrow, and I still get paid, yay! I love holidays - it's probably good that I don't have to work, because that drive would be killer the way I'm feeling now. I'm going to go take some painkillers and gingerly lay down...
