*twitch* And the fishtank-mead guy did respond to some follow-up questions with things like the specific gravity of the three hideous concoctions, which lends some weight to his story. There's still the chance that he's making the whole thing up, but if he is he did a remarkable job of putting together a story where everything works (other than, apparently, his brain).

We have the best party stories. Watching friends try to decide between hysterical laughter and horrified disgust is pretty entertaining in and of itself. Me, I don't even get to track down people looking at Vietnamese porn at work anymore.

In case anyone has some handy, I would be willing to perform atrocities in exchange for some peach cobbler right now. Why? I don't know. I'm tired enough that the hour plus drive home I have to look forward to is more than a bit intimidating, but I'd climb freaking mountains for peach cobbler (good peach cobbler) right now.
