The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

*quivers* The KOF pinkies are so freaking cute - now to decide if I need two sets of them, or just one...And Vance is doing yet another repaint of the first two series, but I haven't found any pictures of those yet - I've got them preordered through HLJ regardless. And I have Tohru ordered through a deputy service, hopefully it'll work and save me some hassle in trying to track it down later.

I love the brisk coolness that suddenly showed up yesterday evening. It's been relentlessly summer around here, and then all of a sudden around 7PM last night it got cool. Almost chilly, enough to raise goosebumps. It was lovely - fall in Virginia is my favorite season, it gets simply beautiful once the humidity goes away and the nasty insect hordes freeze and die. Summer in Virginia, on the other hand, makes me feel like I'm living in a fetid swamp, which does little for my mood. ^_^;;

The chill continued and deepend through the night. When I left my house this morning it was brisk enough to make me turn around and grab a sweater just in case. I hope it holds - weather like this makes me want to step out of the house and keep walking, watching the road unfold ahead of me, with no thought at all but the journey.

(I changed my icons last night, too - fun, ne?)

Yea, I've placed three orders thus far, with two more to go. I'll make one of them later today (or possibly later in the week, if there's nothing interesting on the weekly specials), and I'm saving one for next Thursday, in case there's anything fun on next week's weekly specials. I have...lots of books ordered. Yea. Death Note is not one of the series I ordered - too many other things.

I need to start eating miso for lunch at work more often. Fast, easy, and satisfying. Plus, it has the added benefit of being healthy. And I can disgust my coworkers with seaweed in my teeth. Rock on!

Actually, I need to eat more soup period. Which hinges on finding decent recipes for soup. Oh, and somebody tell Campbells that velveeta in a can does not cheese soup make. Bleh. I think I still have the dregs of a bottle of chianti I've been saving to cook with - if I don't use it in my cinnamon-garlic roast, I may make some of my justifiably famous french onion soup. Time consuming, but well, well worth it, yum.
