The Damn Rat Bastard is on the run, injured and scared. Just the way we like it. Although we much prefer dead.
I took today off as a Mental Health Day (read: must...resist...urge...to kill...Fu-Master and...Buck) and slept in. Got up late, puttered around, and finally realized that I forgot to feed the dog. Whoops. So I grabbed her bowl and headed back to the back bathroom where we store her giant bag of food. I had just started scooping up the food when I saw Something start moving in the bath tub. Guess who. *evil grin*
Gracie the Attack Cat heard me making a fuss, and decided to come in and investigate, rather than laying in wait outside the door to attack me. She was Way Excited when she saw the mouse, and caught it quite handily. She dashed out of the bathroom before we could stop her, though, and the mouse escaped under the couch. There was much lifting of couches (although, I would like to point out that "Dani, lift up the couch!" and "Hey, can you see anything behind the couch?" are mutually exclusive) and both the girls tried getting in on the fun. The Damn Rat Bastard escaped for now, but judging by the way the kitten is charging around the house right now, I don't think it'll be for long.
As best as we've been able to determine, this is the only one currently in the house. Maybe we should bring that king snake back inside...
