Buck can't figure out why his teenage daughter won't bring her boyfriend home to "play" (yes, real quote) with the family. Should I clue him in?

And, despite the fact that gas has gone up $.40 in the past two days, he just bought a new truck. Woohoo, 12MPG! Now he's talking about how "America really needs to do more to promote alternate fuels." I'm gagging on the irony.

He's also going to replace his tires with ones that are "more stylish." I don't think I can even begin to describe the depth of loathing I have for this man.

Four hours....four hours....

Aha! TSA - keeping the world safe from the ravages of infant terrorists.

I feel safer, don't you? I mean, look at that face - a bloodthirsty mass-murderer if I've ever seen one.

What really gets me about this? It's happened at least twice.

I am married to a cop. However, this does not mean that I have any interest, at all, in hearing about all the traffic tickets and/or accidents you've ever been in, and how they're all not your fault, and how dare that evil cop give you a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt when you were putting it on as you pulled out of the parking lot, and rolling through a stop sign when there's nobody around is Just Fine.

I DON'T CARE. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. MY HUSBAND WANTS TO HEAR YOUR STORIES EVEN LESS THAN I DO.

That is all.

Apparently I "interview well" and "have a great resume." Now I shall spend the next three weeks gnawing my fingers off. Or maybe I'll be lucky - I had an offer the next day the last time I interviewed.

This job would be something I would adore, and they're going to be adding in security-related aspects in the next year or two to the contract. *swoons*

Gah - it's raining, so I can't go hiking, MDRF isn't open this weekend, and PARF is out of the question. What the hell am I going to do to keep myself from going insane in the meantime!?!

[EDIT] Yay! Apparently I did get the elf gig, so I'll get paid $250 to prance about in a funny costume and make balloon animals for a few hours. I get paid to do this for once! Rock on! I'm not sure when Bridezilla (remember her?) was going to actually tell me important details like, oh, that I was going to do it and what the date was, but hey - par for the course, right? So now I've got the Gala (hey Shadow, wouldn't that Huntress dress make a lovely winter gala gown?) on Dec 10, then the elf-gig on Dec 12 in Virginia Beach. Thus far my schedule for November remains clear, but I don't anticipate that lasting for very long.
