I am revelling in the sheer cheesy goodness that is Gatchaman. So much fun - I'm pretty happy at my win with this one. I'm not sure if I'm in this for the long haul - 20 box sets is a bit much, but I'll certainly at least rent the rest. So! much fun. Leraldo Anazulda is great, and I really hope we hear more from him in the future.

Great extras, too, which is a compelling argument against renting, since none of the rental services I've seen (and certainly not Netflix) has the extras discs. The audition footage was a lot of fun - the different takes on the character were interesting to watch. Good stuff.

Is this funny? Is this tragic? Does this make my brain bleed? The answer to all of these is, I think, yes. And I quote:

Now...do I drive the twenty minute round trip to the post office, just to ensure that Netflix gets these two DVDs back tomorrow morning, forcing them to ship me two new discs for the weekend, or do I not bother? Hmmm...I can't do any more sewing at the moment, because I have to borrow Stacey's head first, and she won't be around these parts until tomorrow. Hmmm...
