The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

I once again have no phone line. At all. And won't until, at best, sometime tomorrow. Why? Who the hell knows - I just randomly have no dial tone. And, despite Verizon's best effort to convince us that the problem is in our house (which, since Erik signed up for every damn service available when he connected the line, would be their problem anyway), it is not. It's somewhere else, and they'd better have it fixed before 8PM tomorrow.

This means I'll be completely and totally out of communication unless the stars are in proper alignment to allow me a cell phone signal. Charming. Tonight, I'm sure, will be the night my house catches on fire and some maniac breaks in, etc, etc.

Why the hell shouldn't I go all isolationist and off-grid when this is the kind of service I can expect? I will have credit towards my bill, considering that this means at least three days this month I'll have had no service at all. Assuming, of course, that it actually gets fixed yesterday.

Best cosplay costume ever. Hand-embroidered, even, which is beyond remarkable. There are not words...
