The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

We had more guests at the faire last weekend than they had in the entire run last year. Of course, last year's run was cut short for stupid reasons, but still...

And this weekend is Memorial Day, and the start of Lake Anna tourist season. If it doesn't rain, three times last weekend's crowd isn't out of the question. If it does rain, we'll probably equal last weekend.

Yay birthday. I'm officially old now, according to my wonderful husband and charming mother. I didn't ask what that made them.

I honestly feel, at this moment in time, that there's nothing better than having a good seamstress. Mel++ I'll have a new shift and skirt by this weekend. The fabric store calls...I'm 90% sure that I can make one of those spiffy Tudor feather fans, but I need to experiment. If I can, and Mel does set up as a vendor at the MD Faire, I may have a nice source of extra funds.

Now, I need to figure out a way to display horns (the kind you wear on your head) in a semi-period-appropriate fashion before Friday. Mmmm, craft store...

As an aside, ADV's cast guessing games would be so much easier if they always put the English trailer up on their site before the game started.
