Celtic dress = ordered, in hunter green with a berry petticoat, and a second petticoat in kelly green. Yay!
I had a flash of insight last night that really decided it - the overdress is one piece, but the petticoat is separate, and therefore can be changed. Since I'm going to be wearing this so much this year, a little variety without too much added expenditure is a good thing.
Even better is the fact that I've finally convinced Erik to get a costume, too - the only reason I didn't buy one last year. He likes this one, but he was especially fond of the Renaissance doublet as well, so we may get that so he can have some variety as well. He's not willing to buy it yet, though, since he has no boots. So, we wait for the VA faire to start, and hope they have a few people selling boots. Otherwise, he gets the costume for his birthday in July, and can buy his own boots at the PA Faire in August. We'll see.
So excited! Pictures perhaps to follow once the dress actually arrives.
