I got my signed copy of MADLAX yesterday - Vic Mignogna spelled my name wrong. I am not "Danny", thankyouverymuch. Rather spoiled my fangirlish glee. I watched it, even (all four episodes!), and can't decide if it really is completely horrid, or if it has some slight redeeming qualities. I'm leaning towards "completely horrid," but...it's better than Avenger. But, then, pulling my own teeth out with a pair of pliers would be better than Avenger, too.

(OH MY GOD THE CIRQUE MASKS! NEED MORE MONEY THAN SENSE! Especially for the two Ka Emperor masks...)

Grah. I am in charge, depending on how you look at things, of either one building, or one organization. If you ask me if I have updated a database record that belongs to a different organization, in a different building, chances are the answer is no! Why the hell would I? Not my user, not my building. Even if it was, at one point in the past, my user, someone else clearly went in and changed said record to reflect the new, non-Dani status. At that point...why the hell would I have anything to do with it again?

And, dear god, if I hear the phrase "you need to make this a priority" ONE MORE FUCKING TIME TODAY, I'm going to snap and start disembowling people. My "priority" list, at this point, is probably three pages long. There are only so many hours in a week, and I can only get so much done in those hours without needing overtime approval. Hell, I've managed to work an extra 30 hours in the past three weeks, without even noticing half of them! And guess what - I didn't even get paid for two of them, which galls. I don't work for free for people who treat me like shit.

I...can only do so fucking much in one week, and I'm not going to work hours I don't get paid for. It's as simple as that. Don't like it? Fuck off. Especially if you're the man who's been sabotaging my fucking career since before I ever started work here, because you were in a snit because you weren't involved in my pre-hire interview. That's what you fucking get for pissing off every goddamned person on base. Asshole.

Yay! I managed to score an instant win for the main character in the most recent Cast Guessing Game for Gatchaman. I'm way excited about this.

Mmmm, old-school goodness. I wasn't too excited about this one at first, but the game was just so much fun that now I'm thrilled.

Happy news on a day that needed it - the Events of the last entry escalated as Boss Man lashed out at one of our contractors, who demanded (rightfully) a clarification of our command structure, so to speak. THAT was interesting. Trying to clarify things with Fu-Master involved is never an easy task. To say the least...

[EDIT] Fu-Master can see my calendar. Fu-Master can see that I had meetings at a certain time. Fu-Master scheduled meetings that I had to attend at those times anyway, and then threw a fit when...I couldn't be there, because I had a prior commitment. I am only one person. I can only be in one place at a time.

I have, however, subscribed to Virgin Beat, despite all the recent fuss over irrational Viz censorship. We'll see. I'll ship it back to them in business reply envelopes if it's edited, though.
