This weekend was interesting. Erik whinged frequently about the complete and total lack of internet access at our house. I bit my tongue and refrained from pointing out that had he listened to me, we would not be in this situation.
Still, we had a bit of fun - I went on a cleaning rampage, which resulted in not much cleaning actually getting done, since he has a nasty habit of placing things on any available flat surface. Including chairs, counters, the floor, etc. I threatened to beat him with a hangar I found on the living room floor, which prompted him to sprint to one of the only two rooms in the house with a door that locks.
Not that either of them does it really well - the spare bathroom has a door that locks, but it also has a second inexplicable door into the laundry room. Which doesn't lock. The master bath has a door that locks, but it's a double door, so the locking mechanism goes into the other door, rather than the frame. The doors open outward, and have a small latch at the top of one door to hold that one closed. All I had to do was pull that latch open and open the doors - locked? Not a problem. Erik's face was priceless.
Then I beat him with the hangar. ^_^
I finally, finally put all my pictures with the intended frames, and hung most of them. I have a few pictures I'm going to have to get custom frames for (not any time soon...), and a few others I still need to find places for, but for the most part my house is all purty and decorated. And slightly cleaner than it was...I may go on a random throwing-things-away rampage if Someone isn't careful. Three months to clean off the kitchen table is more than sufficient, I think.
Cleaning rampages in my house are fun, because they normally happen only when I have the attention span of a ferret on crack. I start one thing, get bored, go to another thing, get bored - all at high speed. Probably why nothing actually gets finished. I have a pile of laundry that's only half-folded as a result.
This week is showing some slight improvement over last, although I still have a task that I have no idea how to complete. That needs to be put in place the beginning of April. A high-profile task. Gah!
