Multiple small furry animals had, for inexplicable reasons, a magnetic attraction to my car's tires this morning. Small furry animals of the types I tend to like, too - a racoon and two rabbits. No possums - I wouldn't have tested the limits of my Mini's responsiveness for those bastards. Luckily, all animals escaped unharmed, and I don't have ickyness to clean off my car. Also, no deer this morning, yay!
Erik's new game has been attempting to teach the dog how to...be a dog, and do things like catch tennis balls. He's been doing this by pelting the dog with tennis balls until she gets so annoyed that she starts chewing on the nearest thing on hand - sometimes the tennis ball, my resistance bands on one occasion...or Erik's toes. Which is about the funniest thing I've ever seen.
But we have a dog now, instead of a gigantic oversized cat (eat, sleep, pet me!). She runs, she plays, she catches tennis balls (sometimes), she chews on rope toys...it's kind of novel, really. She barked at the UPS guy yesterday, a real bark, rather than the strange coughing noises that she usually uses.
Things are much more fun this way.
Plans for the weekend: Saturday, memorial service (the funeral won't be until mid to late March). Sunday: invading Kei's house. Monday (it's a holiday!): I probably need to clean my house at some point, since it's past the point where I won't let anybody inside. We're going to have the boys again Friday night, so things will be chaotic. As always.
