I was in a really, really good mood this morning, but Buck's new mail notifier just spoiled that.

The last damn thing I want to hear first thing in the morning is "Master, I have mail for you" in a sultry voice. Ew, creepy! Why the hell would you put something like that on your work computer?

The sunrise was beautiful, though. When I got to work the sky was the golden color of dark mead, lightening to a pale apricot yellow. Gorgeous! I really wish I could carry my camera around with me again.

[EDIT] Buck's idea of "music" is apparently vapid EZ-listening. I can forgive most music, but this is one of the few genres I can't stand. Along with horrid country.

It's time to break out the bagpipes, I think. And just wait until I get the Dai-Guard soundtrack...

If anyone's looking for the Gankutsuou Production Book or the Last Exile Aerial Log artbook, preorder them from AnimeTen.

Yay! My copies are ordered. Thbtt to the evil bastards at Tokyo Central, who take people's money and don't bother to respond to email or send out the merchandise you paid for.

I will have fun at work today. I will. Even if it's an evil, twisted, demented sort of fun.

Mr. Pass-the-Buck tried to, well, pass the buck on his ONE and only task at the moment, and got shot down. Hard. He's not going to get out of this, he's not going to pass it off to a contractor, and he's not going to be able to ignore it and hope it goes away. At the moment, he's dusting his desk. For the second time this week. I'd love to be able to have enough of my desk surface free to gather dust.

And I, as a result, have time to do real work. Or I would, but there's more mandatory training I have to do. This one looks like it'll be an endless font of amusement:

Welcome to Ethics in the Era of Partnering. With this training, you will meet your ethical obligations when dealing with contractors who are working in the Government's workspace. Most importantly, with the aid of this training, you will avoid any inadvertent violation of the rules.

Enjoy this training. You should find it useful and entertaining.

I know you're all jealous! ^_^

[EDIT] Nevermind, I take it all back. Having to stare at videos of Rummy talking about ethics for five hours is going to give me ulcers. Must...channel...anger...into...appropriate...outlets...

[EDIT2] US Goverment Online Training Courses should never include the phrase "quaffing a brew at the Leaky Cauldron." But Rummy went away, at least.
