I was going to write an annoyed rant about how it took me three hours to drive home and almost two hours to get to work this morning via an alternate route that added over 20 miles to my drive, but...I can't. Why?
Viz Acquires 20th Century Boys? (09:58 PM EST): According to the Diamond Previews update for their manga, they have a solicitation in there for 20TH CENTURY BOYS, a title that's been sought after by its fans for some time as it's done by the creator of both Monster and Master Keaton and Yawara.
SQUEE!!!
What is 20th Century Boys, you may ask? Only the single greatest manga series ever created. Without question. Better than Monster, by the same author? Hell yes. (Although I anticipate that some people will be turned off by the extended and necessary trip to Backstory Land in the first few volumes, when the characters are all children. Don't let that fool you - this is an adult story about adults. Give it at least five volumes, if I'm remembering where things really heat up correctly.)
2005 just took a distinct turn for the better. Now for Urasawa to finish it and for someone to announce the animated version (ideally in that order).
Also, Carnivale made me happy last night, as something random I've been predicting (hoping, really) since episode 2 actually happened. ( This isn't really a spoiler, but some people might consider it one, so I'll hide it anyway )
