The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

I win the "Dumbass of the Year" award. Oh yea. I was feeding the dog (an activity that involves far more running than you might anticipate), when I managed to fall and sprain my ankle. Badly. Incredibly badly. Worse than I've ever done in my life, which includes all my hiking, rock climbing, and martial arts injury. So badly I thought it was broken. Actually, the jury's still out on that.

I was going to go to work tomorrow, but thinking logically...there's no way in hell. I had to crawl the short distance from the couch to the office, driving an hour and a half is going to be impossible for a few days. Which means I'm going to get my ass kicked when I finally get back to work, since I took three days off last week. And I haven't done my timecard for last week yet. Luckily I have more sick leave than I thought, but it still sucks.

I've been watching Kaleido Star to make myself feel better. Dear god, but The Fool makes this show. I wuv him muchly, even with the changes the dub script made to his lines, which make me want to damage someone.

Sigh. My vacation seems to have been dragged out more than I had planned, but spending it vomiting or unable to hobble across the room isn't my idea of fun fun happy time.

(I spent thirteen or so hours on Friday and about eight hours on Saturday playing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance with Erik. It was fun. We are resolved to get more two-player games of the type I like. Yay!)
