The Zoo over Ambuscade Street

After watching the third disc of Zeta Gundam, I have come to one inescapable conclusion.

Char and Amuro want to go at it like rabbits. It's the only explanation that makes sense. Seriously, there's more subtext in this handful of episodes than there was in all of Wing.

Amuro (tender, breathy whisper): Char!

Yea. I'm having trouble turning my brain off for long enough to enjoy the show. Gundam + "character development" = ulcers for Dani. That's all there is to it.

And I read a book last night. I haven't been able to say that for a while. It took me about an hour and a half. Not the greatest of novels ever, but it was fairly entertaining brain candy, which can be nice. Not all my books need to include time-travelling presidents or quantum physicist serial killers.

I have a strong desire to get up from my desk, go to my car, and drive home at great speed. So much work to do, and I'm killing time writing this instead. It's going to be a long week.

I'm not going to survive this week. This much is abundantly clear. Between the Work Backlog from Hell and the fact that I have people breathing down my neck about things I have no control over...*whimpers*

And Excel, for reasons I do not entirely comprehend, has decided that it's not going to listen to me. Which is Really Bad, because all of the information I need to make a dent in the Work Backlog of D00m is in various spreadsheets.

Dear god, but I'd take just about any job that wasn't dealing with NMCI right now. Any job that also doesn't involve interacting with those hellspawn known as "customers," that is.
